Lifehook® Safety Inspection RequirementsLifehook® systems are only to be used under the supervision of a qualified instructor. All components of a fall protection system require inspection by a competent person before each use to determine if the condition of the component is safe for continued use. No fall protection component by any manufacturer is exempt from this requirement. The documentation included with each component specifies how the inspection process is to be conducted. Should any component not successfully pass the inspection process, it must be immediately removed from use and be returned to the respective manufacturer for service which may include repair, testing, recertification, recalibration, or possible replacement. It is the customer’s responsibility to enforce and document the inspection of each component by competent and qualified personnel in efforts to prevent an incident. In the event of an incident that requires investigation by regulatory authorities, the customer will be assessed on their diligence in following inspection procedures and satisfaction of recordkeeping requirements of all inspections and any service conducted by the manufacturer after the date of purchase. |
