Exclusive Galvanizing
Advantages of our rust-proof coating
Hot dip galvanizing = the longest documented service life in the industry
The Lifehook® L55 is the only lineman training fall protection anchor available with a hot dip galvanized finish. Galvanizing provides a tough, rust-proof coating of armor which is metallurgically bonded to the substrate metal in a unique manner which gives outstanding resistance to mechanical damage in transport, installation, and service.
Galvanizing provides superior protection over paint or powder coatings found on competing products. Every part of a hot dip galvanized structure is completely protected, even recesses, corners, and inaccessible areas. No coating applied to a structure or fabrication after completion can provide the same protection as hot dip galvanizing.
The life expectancy of hot dip galvanizing coatings on a typical structure is 20 to 25 years plus, even with exposure in severe urban and coastal environments. Hot dip galvanized coatings corrode preferentially to steel, providing an automatic sacrificial protection to small areas of substrate metal exposed through damage without a need to touch up. The coating life and performance are reliable and predictable, last longer, and need less maintenance.
Hot dip galvanized coatings are easier to inspect as they are assessed readily by eye. The hot dip galvanizing process is such that if coatings appear sound and continuous, then they are sound and continuous.
